PREPARATION BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
  •  Do not drink any alcohol/caffeine for at least 48 hours prior to your procedure.
  • Do not take any blood thinning medications (unless prescribed by a doctor for medical reasons) one week prior to your appointment (aka: Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ibuprofen, etc..)
  • No tanning/excessive sun exposure 2 weeks prior to procedure.
  • No Lip Filler/Botox treatment in the area of the procedure 3 weeks prior to procedure.
  • Discontinue use of AHA (chemical exfoliation) skin care products close to the area to be tattooed at least one week prior to your procedure.
  • Do not have any chemical peels, dermabrasions, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks prior to your procedure.
  • If you have a history of cold sores, you will need to start taking an anti-viral prescription (Valacyclovir, Denavir (penciclovir), Valtrex or acyclovir (Zovirax)) for at least one week PRIOR to your proposed procedure. Cold sore outbreaks are often triggered by stress or trauma to the lips and skin. Therefore if you are a carrier, lip blush will likely cause an outbreak if you do not take an anti-viral medication prior to your appointment.
  • If you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering this procedure.
  • Please eat before the procedure. You want normal blood sugar levels for any tattooing procedure. You will not feel like eating after.
